Versatility meets strength across all industries.

Makobond AF-1000 adhesive film is a rugged, toughened epoxy system suited to a wide variety of applications. With outstanding peel strength, thermal stability, and chemical resistance, it’s a trusted bonding solution across aerospace, automotive, and industrial markets. Its compatibility with press, autoclave, and vacuum molding methods ensures flexibility during manufacturing, while its excellent adhesion properties make it an ideal choice for both metallic and composite bonding requirements. Conveniently available in common areal weights such as 0.030, 0.045, and 0.060psf (as well as others). Types include Unsupported (for reticulation), woven glass scrim (bondline thickness control or galvanic corrosion inhibitor), non-woven mesh (to aid in handling), or nylon Knit (K-type, all-purpose).

Heat-Resistant Bonding Solutions

Engineered to perform under thermal stress.

Makobond AF-1191 is MAKO’s advanced thermoset adhesive film developed for high-temperature bonding performance. Designed for use with metals, composites, and honeycomb cores, it withstands prolonged exposure to heat and harsh environmental conditions without degrading. This film provides superior structural integrity in extreme aerospace and marine settings, delivering long-lasting bonds that resist moisture, chemicals, and thermal fatigue across varied temperature ranges. May be used as an offset or alternative to 3M AF 191®.

Ultra-High Temperature Applications

Optimized for extreme thermal environments.

AF-1424 adhesive film is a high-performance epoxy-phenolic system built for the rigorous demands of aerospace structures. Withstanding operating temperature excursions up to 500°F, it is ideal for bonding large composite or metallic components where dimensional stability and thermal endurance are critical. Its low outgassing characteristics also make it a dependable solution for aerospace interiors, satellite components, military platforms and other high-vacuum environments. AF-1424 can be used as an offset or alternate to Syensqo / Cytec HT 424®.

Lightweight Core Splicing Solutions

Structural support without added weight.

Makobond AF-1070 is a lightweight, expanding adhesive film formulated for splicing, gap filling, and structural reinforcement of honeycomb panels. Its low-density composition makes it ideal for weight-sensitive applications like racing vehicles, aircraft interiors, and composite sporting equipment. With excellent handling characteristics, a broad cure range, and optional flame-retardant grades, AF-1070 is a practical solution where strength, safety, and minimal mass are top priorities. Standard starting thickness is 0.150 in. Makobond AF-1070 is an expanding, gap filling adhesive that will expand upon cure, typically at 250F (121C).
